I cannot see the "Application Data" (Windows XP)
or the "ProgramData" (Windows 7) folder

Click on Windows XP or Windows 7 depending on what operating system you have on your computer.

Windows XP
If you cannot see the "Application Data" folder, do the following:
  1. Open My Computer
  2. Select Tools from the menu
  3. Select Folder Options...:
  4. Click on the View tab
  5. Scroll down in the Advanced settings:
  6. Make sure the Show Hidden Files and Folders radio button is checked
  7. Un-check (if necessary) the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types"
  8. Click on Apply
  9. Click OK

Windows 7
If you cannot see the "ProgramData" folder, do the following:
  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. In the Control Panel window select Folder Options
  4. In the "Folder Options" window click on the View tab
  5. Make sure the Show hidden files, folders, and drives radio button is checked and un-check (if necessary) the box next to "Hide extemsions form known file types
  6. Click on Apply
  7. Click on OK
  8. Close the Control Panel window
