Updating the Original 4810 WA 2D Imager scanner for use with Windows 7
|
This procedure should ONLY be needed if the new Windows 7 ToughBooks do NOT
detect the 4810WA 2D Imager scanner correctly. Normally, this occurs ONLY
the first time a Windows 7 ToughBook gets docked into an older dock that
was installed for the CF-30s with Windows XP. In this situation, the scanner
has to be reprogrammed.
FOR USE WITH THE 4810 ONLY
CHANGE PNAME & PID FOR SIGNED DRIVER SUPPORT
Scanner Configuration:
-
The 4810LR scanner should already be connected to the Docking Station
-
Ensure the ignition switch is on and the dock has power
-
The docking lever should be locked all the way over and the
green light
on the lower left front of the dock should be lit
-
Open the "L-Tron_change_PNAME-PID_for+4810_driver_support.pdf" file
located here.
-
Scan the two bar codes in order, from 5 inches or more.
Wait about 15 seconds between scans. The scanner will beep after each scan.
-
Unlock the docking lever, wait 15 seconds and relock the docking
lever.
(Check that the green light on the front of the dock
goes off when unlocked and then on when locked.)
NOTE: Do NOT use this sheet on any other scanner than the 4810LR.
